What does the API add to the Danish Business Authority's own files?

Reading each XBRL report, keeping the first published copy of every company-period, dating it by publication, checking equity against the filing's own balance sheet and converting it to one schema shared with eleven other registers.

Can Danish data be used for marketing?

No. Every Danish entity is treated as advertising-protected under the Danish CVR Act, section 19, so the data must not be used for direct marketing. Credit checks, research and other analysis are what it is for.

Why is revenue missing for many Danish companies?

Danish reporting class B lets a company publish gross profit instead of revenue, so revenue is present on about 11% of company-periods. A missing figure stays missing: gross profit is never put in its place.

Revenue, gross profit, operating and net income, assets, equity and liabilities from the XBRL annual reports published by the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen) since June 2012. Each figure keeps the company's CVR number and the Copenhagen date the report was published, so a query for a past date returns only the reports published by then.
